Ruby on Rails Developer

Key Responsibilities
1. Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front end.
2. Work on development tasks, including database interactions, server-side logic, and API development.
3. Manage and optimize background jobs using tools such as Sidekiq, Resque, or similar. 4. Implement and maintain database solutions using PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity and optimizing query performance.
5. Utilize Redis for caching and background job management to enhance application performance.
6. Develop and maintain APIs to ensure seamless integration with front-end applications and third-party services.
7. Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members to integrate user-friendly elements with server-side logic.
8. Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance and resolve issues. 9. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Requirements:
1. 3+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails Development.
2. Proficient in Ruby programming with a deep understanding of Rails framework. 3. Strong experience with Graphql and RESTful APIs (Graphql is a must) 4. Extensive knowledge of PostgreSQL and MySQL, including database schema designing, indexing, and query optimization.
5. Experience with background processing frameworks like Sidekiq or Resque is a must. 6. Practical experience with Redis for caching and job queue management. 7. Proven experience with WebSocket is required.
8. Proficient in Git and version control workflows.
9. Basic understanding of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
10. Expertise in identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, including N+1 query issues, to ensure efficient database interactions.
11. Establish and enforce testing protocols; lead and mentor the team in writing effective and comprehensive tests to ensure the robustness and reliability of the application.
12. Collaborate on and enhance existing APIs, ensure they meet current project requirements and maintain high performance and reliability.
